Guest guest
I thought you would be happy to know that Lily started walking between my husband and myself Wed. and yesterday walked from the coffee table to the couch. It was beautiful. boy, is she proud of herself!!!! And doggone it, I think she might actually be tall! (When she was born, she was in the bottom 5% of height and this last visit, she was in the 97% percentile--not that percentiles matter a darn bit--but my feeling was they were both wrong--I didn't even put her height on our birth announcement because I didn't think they could measure correctly with her feet--our son, 2 at that time, thought her feet looked like string cheese feet after the 2 color cheese he eats...isnt' that cute?). She looked so tall standing completely upright, legs together. And thanks for answering my post recently about delayed walking. I just had to be a little patient. Having an extra 6 hours out of the brace didn't hurt I believe. And you don't have to reply. There are other important things to be discussed here so I'll just know in my heart, you are thinking " yippee " and " way to go " . To think, just 3 months ago, Dr. Ponseti said " I can see why she wouldn't want to stand on these feet (she wasn't putting any weight on them), they [her feet] would hurt her " . This month, walking; next month, marathon training...=-)
