Guest guest
Hi. I haven't been on this board in a long time. My son was born with bilateral clubfeet on 2/25/05. He is currently 15 months old and wears his DBB only at night. He has excellent flexiblity and didn't need the tenotomy. He just started to really walk on his own last week. I have noticed that he is extremely flat footed and his ankle almost rotates in a little (hope I am describing this well) like he's walking right on his arch- or where arch would be if he had one. My question: Is this common for clubfeet kids? Did other children start out walking this way? I know my doctor said that there isn't any special shoe he would need but would a shoe that is a " high top " help to stabilize his foot? My doctor basically said since he just started walking, to keep an eye on him and if in a few weeks I still am concerned then to call and they will see him. Thanks, Caroline
