I Talked with my IPA

Cross-posting cause I'm sore

I had a phone call from my IPA (Marin IPA) regarding

my CPAP machine. While on the phone, I asked the guy

who I should talk with regarding my Dr Jossart denial.

I was transferred to someone named Rosemary.

She was so nice! What a difference! She did look up

my file and said I really should send in my appeal

ASAP. She said it's going to be a long, hard road.

Great. And, since I haven't seen Dr Osloff (or

whatever), it won't look good so I'd better see him.

I told Rosemary all he'd do is tell me I have to see

Dr and that's my problem. I don't want a

surgeon who does bariatric surgery part time and

hasn't done very many.

She said to see him anyway (which some people here

have suggested also). The reason I haven't is because

I have panic just thinking about it - just going to

UCSF seems so hard! (I even had problems seeing Dr R

and Dr J - travel isn't my bag!) I worry that I'll

have an attack while in the City and since I don't

know anyone there, I'm so far from home.

Shit, I'm shaking so hard just typing this.

Anyway, I guess I have to see Dr O. I'll just take a

few Valium and make it there.
