Guest guest
Hi Debbie, How are you all? You were asking about Kim's social situation as she grew up. Well, sometimes she was " chosen " to be the baby when needed for a game but most of the time Kim was in charge! At playschool (kindergarten) the assistants said that some days Kim would expect everyone to fetch and carry for her and on other days if anyone did something like pick her up Kim would put her hands on her hips and say " I CAN do it myself! " Kim has always been independent and just thinking about some of the things she got up to with her brother (4 years older than Kim) makes me glad I didn't know of them at the time. Like climbing on roof tops with her own small sun lounger! Or when she set off down the street wearing a pair of adult size 4 UK roller boots when her feet were only a baby size 5 UK! We still wonder how she picked up her feet..... and more, more, more. I never used feeding teams (I wasn't offered them) and it used to take me 45 minutes to feed Kim only 30mls milk. What a nightmare! For Kim especially as if I gave her even a few drops more than she wanted - back it all came. Then came the fun part. Solids. No assistance from anyone and it was a real struggle as Kim, like lots of others, had no appetite. It took soooo long to get her to eat anything at all and again if I managed to get her to eat " one spoon more " yes you've guessed, back it all came. Kim hated any lumps at all and would roll the food around until all the liquid was gone and ejected the lumps. Later still, she managed to keep the lumps - in her mouth around her teeth until the next meal time. (are you still awake?) I'm such a chatterbox so I'll quit while I think I'm ahead. Bye for now
