Hi

My daughter, who was born a healthy 7lbs 3ozs and 19.5 " long, dropped from

the 50th %ile to the 5th between 4 and 6 months old. (About the time we were

introducing the wheat and barley baby cereals). After crawling along at that

for three years, we removed gluten from her diet last November. By February,

she had grown about 3 inches. Her weight has doubled in two years! If it

were up to me, I'd keep her 100% gluten free, but DH wants to challenge the

diet. I'm going along with it because it seems to be only way to convince him

that she may be celiac. At least now her BMs have started floating again -

for the

second time immediately following gluten ingestion - he's starting to consider

it as an idea but I have NO idea how we'll ever confirm this.

Thank you, this has certainly helped me. My son started growing for the

first time in two years- has grown nearly 3 inches since the end of March.

I suspected celiac, but never found anything that stated this as an indicator.
