Guest guest
Hi everybody! I need some advice on what we can do with Abby and her feedings. We did great with giving Abby her bolis feeds for the first few months. Then, she began to eat more orally and her tube feeds became more difficult to give her. What I mean is when we began a feeding, it would not go through. It was like her stomach was full and would not allow anything else in. The doctor wanted to try a feeding pump at night only, so we have. Failed with that. Abby is 5 years old and moves around so much in bed that the feeding pump came apart. He does not want to use the pump during the day for various reasons. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can try next. I am grateful that Abby wants to eat all the time, but the doctor says it is food that is not giving her the calories she needs. Please help as it is breaking my heart that her growth has slowed again. Thanks, Amy (mom to Abby-5 yrs, rss, gtube, growth hormones; Tyler-3 1/2 yrs, wild child, non-rss; -3 months, clone of his father)
