Guest guest
dish soap. rinses out well enough (better than laundry soap) and seems to work. I don't think they really can be ruined by much actually. Dry them over a heater vent. They're kind of stiff after drying but soften up quickly once used. Pee isn't so bad... next adventure for you is poop after he take his diaper off and mashes around in it on the floor. then you need a toothbrush AND dish soap :~} Good luck on the potty training! That's pretty good... twice in the first day? He'll be diaper free in no time! (lol, more wishful thinking... no... optimism!) Guest guest
Thanks Kori, wasn't sure if I could get them wet. As far as potty training. We will see.....he is still pretty young. He likes to go, thinks it is fun now. the husband wont even let me buy underwear yet. I'm not working for awhile so it will be a good time to try. Guest guest
Yea, potty training! I bought a chair for Everett last night and he's played with it all day but so far no mark. As for the shoes, I have dipped them in warm suddsy water and scrubbed with an old tooth brush before with ok results. s. Cleaning s ? Ok, this might seem like a dumb question, but does anyone know what you can use to clean the shoes? Karter peed on his and I really don't want to hurt the shoes any. Oh he has learned that he can take the diaper off and pee. So a trip to the store to buy a potty chair and he has used it 2 times today, so hopefully no more pee on the shoes. Oh, wishful thinking. Guest guest
I would go buy training pants (cloth, not disposable) Immediately!!!! This is huge, the child is doing this on his own motivation so GO WITH IT! Encourage it! Get pants a size or 2 too big so he can pull them down and up on his own wiht out help. s Re: Cleaning s ? Guest guest
and put some plastic pants (you know, the kind we used to on cloth diapers) over the top of his new underwear. The training pants are thick, will absorb and the plastic pant over it saves you some laundry. Especially when leaving the house. You'll have less stress wondering whether to diaper him or pant him for outings if you don't have to worry about his outer clothes getting wet. He feels like he's wearing underwear but the plastic protects his pants. Don't even bother with pull up's unless you want him to use them as diapers. In fact... shun them and go for the training pants now like ee said. Sure, the plastic makes for you having to take his pants all the way off if he does have an accident (unlike a pull up, which you can rip off) but even so... you have to put new pants on him again so you'll have to take his pants off anyway. have fun! Guest guest
ee, Thanks, will make a trip to wal-mart today and buy training pants and see how it goes. This morning he was very wet, but put him on and he went, He thinks it's a game wants to go on the chair all the time, so out of maybe 10 times we might pee 1 or 2 times. Not bad for 19 months. Thanks again Tabitha number23 wrote: I would go buy training pants (cloth, not disposable) Immediately!!!! This is huge, the child is doing this on his own motivation so GO WITH IT! Encourage it!
