Guest guest
Hey , Ok you need Keto sticks to check for keytones becuacr thats s good indication that Ian is starting to become hypoglycemic and that he may be getting dehydrated. Then you need a glucometer. Madison claims that the Toe doesn't hurt at all. she hated the arm one!!! Their arms are way to skinny I think. In the pharmacy they sell bags or your pediatrican's office has them. you can attach it to his penis and when he urinates you take the bag off and dip the stick in it. You really should use a clean catch so you don't really want to use the wet diaper is you don't hav eto. And the bag is painless I promise. Hope this helps. Keep me posted. Guest guest
My husband and I can't sleep. Too much in my brain from the convention and my dh has insomnia. The Keytones. What is the best way to check for hypoglycemia. My mom is Diabetes Type II and thinks I should get the " arm " glucose check. I think I should get the keystone urine sticks - but, am not sure how to get the urine from his diaper in the morning. What is the best way to check?? Thanks. Guest guest
How I check s - one of 2 ways. If I am planning on checking them I put a cotton ball in her diaper and squeeze out the urine in the a.m.m on the stick. If, like me this morning, hadn't planned on it - I simply cut her diaper with a knife and press the ketostick in the urine. Very easy to do. I also have a blood sugar kit at home - also very easy - I got it at walmart - reasonably priced. Jane, mom to

Guest guest
Jane, I used the cotton ball technique and it worked fine. I did end up putting the cotton ball into a 10ml syringe to squeeze out the urine onto the keto stick. See how it works. > > How I check s - one of 2 ways.
