Guest guest
Dr. Anthone does not limit his patients in any way in so far as what they are allowed to eat post op. You should have seen what was brought in on my tray the first day I was " allowed " to eat normally (after I passed the leak test). It was lunch so I got meat loaf, mashed potatoes, green beans, a roll, coffee, milk, some frozen italian ice, butter for the roll. I ate the italian ice and asked for tea. I read the little ticket that came with the food tray and it clearly stated " DS Diet " . I actually laughed outloud! All that food! That was nuts! But, as you can see, there were no restrtions. So, if you can eat Sushi and stuff so early out from surgery. . .I say go ahead! Everyone's tummy reacts differently, and in my way of thinking, if you get in protein first, anything else is just a treat!
