Guest guest
, thanks for the encouragment. I keep thinking " if only I could push her harder to make her eat, offer more...etc " but almost 20 mos have gone by of that and it is just not working, I just can't make it happen. She does drink Peptamin Jr., somedays more than others, there is never a norm that I can count on. If she doesnt want it, I cannot get it in her period. I am sorry you are going through this too. It is a tough decision, one I need to weigh the pros and cons. It will definitly help her nutrition, weight, etc., but the thought of the surgury and her hurting and being in the hospital again just makes me sick, but then again, it would prevent future hospital stays for refusal to eat/drink when sick and she will no longer struggle with weight and health issues related to that. My husband and I have talked but no decision yet, I do think we are leaning towards yes but too early to say. I talked to her geneticist and he thinks it would be best. I am talking to her ped on friday. Thank you for telling me it's not my fault, it is nice to hear that from someone who is going through thte same thing. good luck with Ian. mom to Autumn, Summer, Ocean and Skye > > Autumn had her GI appt this morning.
