Guest guest
Hi Kathy - Welcome! I have heard about restricting chocolate and such - the reason given is that a lot of our kids tend to be very high in copper and low in zinc - This could be due to a metal imbalance or toxicity. I think restricting copper rich foods, and probably supplimenting with zinc is a way to help get more in balance. As with everything, you see what works for your kid and discuss it with your doctor. The Pfieffer Treatment Center is up on all the DAN! protocol and will be a good guide for you through this process. We haven't restricted chocolate per se, but my son doesn't really get a lot of chocolate - he is, however, high in copper and low in zinc - since the doctor we are working with Dr. Jerry Kartzinel of Florida sees this as an indication that my boy is metal toxic we are about to start chelation. Hang in there and welcome. Moira > Hello, I have been reading the posts for a few days now. I think I > shall finally introduce myself and my daughter.
