Guest guest
...treatment in the 1970s. I am being referred to a doctor in akron, ohio (i live close by) for the correction of the bilateral club feet that showed up in the 19week ultrasound of my (as of yet) unborn child. The due date is the end of august. There is a strong family history of club feet, including myself and my maternal grandmother. Apparently: " Akron Children's Hospital's chairman of Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Dennis Weiner, pioneered a procedure called Akron Midtarsal Dome Osteotomy in the early 1970s to correct clubfoot. The surgery is designed to allow more of the sole of the foot to touch the ground, to align the toe and heel, and to allow more foot motion. " Does anyone have any first hand experience with this treatment and its effectiveness? There is an excellent ponsetti approved doctor in cleveland Dr Armstrong with Rainbow Babies and Children Hospital. I am going to call and see if he takes my insurance, and if it is possible to get in with him. However, if he does not and/or it is not possible I would like to know all i can about Dr Weiner. Thanks. -
