Guest guest
Has this happened to anyone else? I awoke this morning around 3:15 to my baby's cries. I got up to change his diaper and feed him. As I picked him up from the bed to move him to the bassinet where I was going to change his diaper, a loud thud ws heard as something hit the wood floor. I looked down to find a cast on the floor. The entire cast had just slipped off his left leg! There'd been no hint of this coming earlier. Of course, it must have slipped a little bit, but wasn't noticable to me before going to sleep. I made an unscheduled trip about 4 hours away with 5 children ages 6 and under to get him casted again. They did it immediately with no problem, knowing that I'd just made a long trip. Has anyone else had a cast just fall off? Also, his feet are pointing down, like a ballerina on her toes. Is this right? This is (as of now) his 5th casting, He had severe bilateral CF at birth 5 weeks ago today. I think they are turning good, but the pointing down surprises me. The cast today and the one we had done on Tuesday was done by one of the other doctors, not ours. Donna
