Guest guest
, If it was me, I would do the 23/7 for 3 months. As for nights and naps. That could be anywhere from 14 to 18 hours, depending on the amount of time " naps " take. Nighttime is probably 12-14 hours. Nap time could be 1 to 4 hours, depending on number of naps and their lengths. Many people prefer to do the bracing all in one stretch. For example, put it on at 8:00 p.m, take it off at 12:00 p.m.; equaling 16 hours. That means fewer time putting shoes on in a day. You can also put them on for night and naps, taking them off in between. My Tenny was 10 months old when he finished his 23/7 stretch (got a late start). We reduced to 20 hours for two weeks, then 18 hours for two weeks. Finally, down to 16 hours. That seemed to be our nights and naps. Tenny was taking one nap for about 2 hours. We would do 14 hours at night, take them off, them put them on for 2 hours at nap time. It would have been easier to get the 16 hours in one stretch, but I liked to have Tenny out of his shoes when he was awake. He was old enough that I liked to see him spend some time on his feet. There may be other mothers that think this was crazy, but they also know that sanity isn't my strongest point. We currently do 12 hours at night and 2 hours at nap time. Tenny will be 2 next month. He probably doesn't need to wear his shoes at naptime anymore, but he can't get out of his crib with them on (yet). I think I put them on his feet more so he will stay in his bed and take the much needed nap than anything. Of course, the extra hours aren't going to hurt him any. I would probably still have him wear them 14 hours a day if he wear them at naptime anyway; I am a bit cautious with the bracing. I don't know if this will help, but maybe it will be a start. Guest guest
natalie, thanks for your answer. > If it was me, I would do the 23/7 for 3 months. well >>As for nights and naps. That could be anywhere from 14 to 18 hours, depending on the amount of time " naps " take. >>> now, Loreanzo's nap time is about 3 hours >> Many people prefer to do the bracing all in one stretch.>> I'd like to put the brace on only when Lorenzo sleeps, but doing the bracing in one stretch may be a solution of a my problem. on September i'll come back to office and lorenzo will stay with my mom or a baby sitter. I'm not sure that they are be able to put the brace on. ciao anna
