Guest guest
I think they kinda hold their legs that way cause of the position of the feet, legs, and brace. I think s/he will probably grow out of it. If Dr. P is your Dr. and he has never said anything about it, then I wouldnt worry. My daughter has been out of her braces for 5 days now (she has blisters), and she still holds her legs apart like like shes in the brace. So I think its just a matter of comfort, and faliliarity. Guest guest
Hi Jescie, I noticed along time ago that sometimes babies were getting bowing in their lower legs and what I discovered was that it was from the way people were holding the legs while I was casting. Babies have very pliable bones and they can be easily " encouraged " into curved positions. You may be noticing this right after casting and it will straighten out on it's own. Children are amazing at remodeling thier bones, it is their ligiments and tendons that need to be streched into the proper length to let the bones/joints develop correctly. Guest guest
All babies are bowlegged, it's totally normal and so cute As baby starts to stand, cruise and then walk, the legs naturally straighten out. I miss Gracies little bowlegged toddle! Now she runs around like crazy....her cf (right) does splay out a bit which is cute too so I guess I do still have somethin to giggle at haha & Grace 20mos urcf FAB 13hrs > > Has anyone experienced bowlegged-ness with the Ponseti casting?
