3 week post-op check up today

Hi everyone. Am just back from my 3 week check up at Dr. Ren's

office. I have to say that part of my time there that made me happy

was talking to a gentleman in the waiting room who asked me some

questions about my surgery. He knew next to nothing about WLS and was

about to meet with the doctor!

So, I answered his many questions and referred him to the wonderful

DS site. He said he doesn't have a computer and asked for my phone #

so that he could call if he had questions (he had better not have a

computer!hahaha). Yes, I gave him the # figuring it could be the

difference in his choosing the DS or not(or worse-something else!). I

also encouraged him to find a friend with a computer who could print

stuff for him off the site. Good deed for the day done.

Anyway, besides Dr. Ren not initially recognizing me, another

highlight of the day was getting on the scale. I'm 3 weeks out and 26

lbs. down. Wow! How exciting. Plus, she, her nutritionist and nurse

practioner all said that I look fabulous. Not only thinner but very

healthy. That's so nice to hear!

Just thought I'd give you guys an update. You've been supportive up

until now so I'd thought I'd share the good news!
