Guest guest
Hi , Funny, they said had clostridia & he's being treated with Culturelle right now. But he's not the one with the bad breath. Logan has bad breath but not body odor. It seems his bad breath started more recently; within the past couple of months, maybe less. Had your son been tested for clostridia? was but we've had not tests on Logan. Perhaps I should mention it to 's nutritionist. Thanks, Michele (, ASD, 7 yrs, Logan, 3.5 yrs)
Guest guest
My younger son had bad breath and body odor for years and we have determined it is due to Clostridia, a bacteria overgrowth. It might be caused by something else, but that is one possibility. We are treating it with Culturelle and colloidal silver, which seems to be working. . I would at least mention it and get another opinion. Dr. Shaw told me that Culturelle was THE thing (or at least probiotic) for bacteria. If Logan is just recently getting bad breath, the body odor may be following. My son was not tested (ped wasn't into it) but by symptoms we eliminated yeast and parasites. We treated for yeast with Grapefruit seed extract. Nothing. I felt that if at least we saw some type of negative reaction this would indicate die-off. Then we treated for parasites with wormwood. Nothing. Now we are treating for bacteria and seeing some results. We also have tried 4 other probiotics but Culturelle and Peptizyde are the only things that have made a dent in the smell. .
