Guest guest
Not to beat up on the OSSG site, but: I was able to post one message about 10 days ago. It was a joint response to two requests for info about the DS. Again, I'd tried replying to the original posts and, then, when that didn't go through (I kept getting the same error message) tried doing a direct e-mail reply to the original posters. All I did was give my experience with the DS, why I chose the DS, and to state that I didn't think the malabsorption would be that big an issue if you took your supplements and got your labs. and Dawn had been able to post replies that were rather similar. We got majorly flamed! One rather rabid RNYer said there must be something very suspicious about the DS because WE LIKED IT !! Honest, I just about fell out of my chair when I read that. Because we were willing to defend and try to correct the erroneous information that's on that site about DS there must be something truly wrong with A. us and B. the procedure itself. None of us responded to this. I personally thought that was the best response because it was very clear that whatever we posted was going to be wrong. No matter what. Unless, of course, it was to say that we deeply regretted the DS and had made the biggest mistakes of our lives. Somehow, I don't think that's gonna show up there! OK - promise - that's my last word on that subject. P post-op 05-30-01 Dr. Kim, Ocean Springs, MS down 98 lbs!
