Guest guest
was prescribed phenergan with codeine for his cough/sore throat by his pediatrician yesterday.. I took the Rx to Osco and told them that I needed GFCF because he's on a restrictive diet.. The pharmacist there said " I don't know how we'd know if it's gluten free, but your doctor must know if she prescribed it for him " .. After 15 mins of them being about as helpful as a box of rocks, they finally agreed to phone around and see what they can find out for me from the manufacturer or distributer of the drug, and I'm to call them this afternoon to see what they found out. I'd like to know if there's anyone or anywhere that I can go to get future Rx's filled where they actually know what gluten is (or how to get drugs that lack it is more to the point)? How do others handle this? I must say that I was really surprised, you'd think that with celiac patients, they'd at least know what gluten is... These people had no clue at all what I was talking about.
