Hi , (seven months now) had a funny second toe which kind of sits

on top of her first toe and also sticks up some. I can send you a picture if

you'd like to compare the two. 's was like this from birth so I know it

was not caused by the casting or bracing.

squished toes

My son, , has been in the Markells since January. He has a left

club foot and the second toe on that foot sits above his big toe and

third toe, it looks like his foot is being squeezed and forcing that

second toe to sit on top. I was wondering if the shoes were

contributing to it and possibly causing discomfort. He is in a size 0

medium and is still in his original shoe, but his toes are not all the

way at the end. I went today to have him fitted for a bigger shoe, but

the man at the shoe store says he needs a narrow to hold the back of

his foot snuggly and the toe issue probably won't straighten out until

he is out of the Markells for good. Does anyone here have any

experience with something like this? I did look at pictures of his feet

right after they came out of the tenotomy cast and his toe was like

that then. Also, how many shoe sizes do you go up when you get new

shoes?

Thanks,

,

This one is for Kori, she had this exact issue with Darbi, I'm sure

she'll chime in here and tell you about it, but her solution was to

switch to the Ponseti/ shoes as they have a much bigger toe box.
