Guest guest
We have 6 in our family so going completely GFCF is not practical for us. It does help that my son is 2 since he is not of the age that he helps himself. I came to realize this weekend that even though the peanut butter and jelly we use is GFCF, we are using it on both kinds of bread. Sometimes the knife goes back in with bread crumbs on it. I went to the store and bought new PB & jelly and put masking tape with the letters GFCF on it. I told my husband and older kids that if it says GFCF, you can only use it if you take out a clean knife. It would be just like double-dipping. I think I am going to make stickers on my computer that says GFCF which can be put on any item I buy that is safe (and should be kept safe). When I come home from the grocery, I would put stickers on each item. That way there is less chance of a mistake or contamination (or at least no excuse). I imagine this will help in the future when my son is able to help himself or if someone else is watching the kids. Maybe making sheets or rolls of fancy stickers would be a good business idea. I wouldn't mind adding it to my Miss Roben's or Kinninnick order!
