Hi everyone --

I've been eavesdropping on all your conversations for some time now.

I feel like I should identify myself (again). My surgery is

scheduled for 12/17, NYC, Dr. Gagner. Isn't that a great date, just

one week before Christmas? Oh well, I keep thinking ahead to this

time next year. I'm not one for wishing my life away, but boy, does

one year from now sound exciting, or what!

I've found some interesting info here. Thanks goodness my daughter,

, found this surgery. She's the one that Loves ADEKS. She

made me eat three chewables with her last night. The big baby! She

screws her face up like a wrinkled prune(as if she were sucking on a

lemon) with each chew. Even the kids are laughing at her. I thought

the square chocolate one (I get them mixed up) tasted pretty good.

Okay, okay -- I'm sure I'll be sick of them too, eventually.

I tried to help her out this morning. I mashed all the morning pills

and mixed the powder is a little applesauce. The unappreciative

child moaned, and had a mild fit when she found I'd also mashed a

prescription pill (it left a nasty taste). Then of all things, she

tried to get me to eat the foul concoction. Does she think I'm

stupid or something?

Anyway, we will have each other for misery vitamin companions soon.

My turn to get waited on is coming. She's going to NYC with me to be

my " companion " . I'm sure the only reason she's willing to go is

because she knows my modesty will prevent her from having to do

any " down and dirty deeds " , if you get my drift (unlike what she put

her poor husband through). And they say, like mother, like

daughter! Hah!

Someone posted that they forget to measure pre-op. Now I know.

Someone posted about the necessity of having tongs handy. Now I know

(lucky daughter). Someone posted about not eating too fast. Now I

know. And your mothers all told you eavesdropping was not nice.

Thanks everyone. I'll probably post again POST-OP, hurray (or as

someone posted, after I've been switched.) Now I know.

Kathleen M.
