Guest guest
Well lets start with Karter's sores. They seem to be gone with the thicker gel pads that has sent us. That or my mother has the magic touch. He still gets very red when you first take him out of the shoes, but it goes away during the day. No dark red spots or open sores for 2 weeks. This is wonderful. I notice he gets the open sores when we have to go to the next hole in the straps, so if we can use the gel pads to pad it when we have to move that it will take care of the problem. We are keeping our fingers crossed. Well on to the hubby. We got some not so good news on his brain tumor. It is stage 4 cancer. It has also spread to the lining of the brain and spinal fluid. The type he has is incurable. They say he has maybe one year to live. We found this out Sat. and it is still processing in my head that my husband will not grow old with me. He will be starting chemo and radiation a week from Thursday. This they tell us will slow down the growth, but not stop it. Just prolong his life and releave the symptoms. We are ready to fight this thing and have looked into clinical trails that he might be able to do. I understand everything they are telling us in my brain, but it hurts and doesn't make sense in my heart. I have known my husband since I was 9 and am almost 27. Just all seems crazy. Thanks for everyone that has supported us and please wish us luck on this new journey we will be starting.
