I know this is a dumb question other than the obvious Caffeine free soda would

be better than regular soda....Granted NO SODA IS best...I guess I am trying to

justify my can of sprite or caffeine free coke a day....Not that I am promoting

or suggesting any soda consumption post-op...It seems that once I drink the

can(sometimes its only half the can)...the craving is completely satisfied I

used to drink a 2 liter of coke by myself pre-op ...I really was hoping that my

soda addiction would be " cured "

I have tried the waters, they make me naseous cold, room-temperature, tap,

bottled, you name I have tried it.....Juice I look for the low sugar

ones....like the vitamin waters...And I also enjoy seltzer water....which I can

drink just fine...but after a while I get tired.....I know I am bad....damn the

soda companies for there evil product :)

> You know I never really liked diet soda...maybe I should try the

diet caffeine free coke (although if the soda I am going to drink is

caffeine and diet I should just drink water at that point LOL)....I

think I am going to try to up my seltzer water intake....It has zero

sugar in it....I feel guilty drinking the soda....and I really miss

drinking water.....I cant wait until I develop my taste for water

again....

Lisbeth: Have you tried the Diet Pepsi Twist (with Lemon)? I love it

-- I think it's better than the Diet Coke with Lemon, although I

prefer the Diet Coke (plain) caffine free over the Diet Pepsi....

Maybe the lemon-flavored drinks will be more appealing? I don't know

if they make a caffine-free version of those (yet?)... I think they

just came out!

I also love the Diet Ginger Ale (and flavored Ginger Ales)... I like

seltzer, too but there's something about that tonic water... LOL

all the best,

Actually regular caffinated soda's scare me.....I am very caffeine

sensitive....I can have coffee in the morning and have quite the interesting

insomnia night....So I try to drink decaffinated everything....so that means,

ginger ale, sprite, 7-up, (today I had half a can of sprite and half a glass of

caffeine free coke which is more than I have had post-op in one day)

decaffinatedsoda's and teas.....Chamomile is my favorite ok peppermint is my

favorite I like them both!.....Seltzer water is cool....especially the

raspberry, and lemon-lime which gives the soda sensation....I find that soda

doesnt taste the same after surgery.....I still like it....but before surgery

soda was something I had to have.....When I have soda now I fill the glass with

ice and pour the soda in and I let it sit until the ice has just about melted

this way I get my water in ;)
