Surgeon General and Obesity

Just read this interesting article (and the even MORE interesting

message board attached to it).

I wonder if this kind of announcement will do any harm or good to the

process of having insurance companies approve surgery for morbid

obesity. Of course, the article (and the SG) only mentions " obesity " ,

not " morbid obesity " , but the vast majority of the population aren't

aware of the difference or the media considers it too difficult to explain.

I would love to be " just plain obese " ...LOL! It's like when I told someone

I was considering surgery and the response was, " Why don't you just

exercise more? "
