Hello-

Isaac went to the endocrinologist yesterday and it went really well!

The doc was really pleased with his growth and we spent alot of time

discussing growth hormones and Isaac's new diagnosis. Usually we go to

a " branch " office that is close to my house but our appointment

yesterday was at their main office which is located in the children's

hospital in Fort Worth. When we walked in to get weighed I saw a

brochure display that had brochures from MAGIC!! They probably had

every division's brochure there!! I noticed the Blue RSS brochure,

SGA, Hypothyroid,'s and Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia but there

were others. I was really happy and surprised to find those brochures

since I live in Texas. We are a long way from Chicago but they are

spreading the word about MAGIC!!

Mimi-

Mom to: Isaac RSS, Hypothyroidism, MCAD (18 mos 17lbs 8 oz, 29 " )

Sofia- Scheduled to arrive 9-21-05

Mimi,

I would take that as a sign that your endo is really in tune with what

is going on and receptive to ideas and suggestions and listens to

parents. I hope that is true. You are lucky to have found someone

like that.

Mimi,

Who did you see? If it was at Cook's, I did that! They did not know

about MAGIC until we told them about 4 years ago. Storm has been

seeing Dr. Willcutts since he was about 5 1/2. We love Maura, the

Nurse Practitioner! (She is very animated, and it really gets through

to Storm.) I am glad they finally put the brochures up.

We recently found out that Storm's Medicaid is being changed (without

us knowing about it until it happened) And we may have to drive all

the way to Dallas Children's instead. (We are fighting it! but then

maybe they need to know about MAGIC too!!!)

Would love to meet you sometime!

Blessings,

Carmen
