Guest guest
My daughter has brachy and graduated from her doc band already but here are my thoughts: I've heard the breathing monitors aren't great for babies 6 months or older. Just what I've heard. We hv the video monitor so I can see her which I love! It let's me know a lot without hving to go in her room too many times. But my daughter started sleeping on her tummy on her own about your sons age and so maybe your child will too. I can't imagine how you would get him to sleep on his tummy otherwise. It just seemed to happen overnight and I worried less knowing she positioned herself that away. She is now 11 months and I have seen no regression and the thicker her hair gets the better her head looks. Her hair seems to really help her head look less wide and more round! And really he is at a great age bc he is only going to become increasingly more active and I just don't think you hv anything to wrry about! I thought u would be obsessive about how she slept and laid down and car seat time, but really I jut tried not to worry knowing she was still young enough we could get another band if needed but I saw no reason for that the more time went on! Enjoy having the band off and good luck! > > > My 6 month old is about to graduate from his DOC band (7 weeks). His > cephalic index will have gone down from 96% to about 87%. Guest guest
Even if you " decide " to have him sleep on his tummy he'll probably be very mobile soon and will sleep the way he wants. That is why repositioning isn't very effective after 6 mo. I don't really know about monitors. My daughter had brachy and got to about 85%, but still there are some odd things about her head. She hasn't really improved post-banding, but some babies do. -christine sydney, 4 yrs, starband grad > > > My 6 month old is about to graduate from his DOC band (7 weeks).
