Guest guest
Hi , Congratulations on -J'nee graduating to the DBB! The side lying position is the BEST thing to happen to breastfeeding. You lay on the bed/couch/ground on your side with the breast your going to feed from on the bed as well and position your baby so they are either on their side or back with their head facing you. I'm not sure how you feel about co-sleeping, but this is a definite life-saver for night time feedings in bed, but it will also more than likely lead to you falling asleep while your daughter is still nursing - and you will become co-sleepers... A little tip, once you get used to nursing this way, you can then lie on your stomach and feed the baby from the other side – so neither you or the baby have to move…plus you can actually sleep on your stomach! Hope this makes sense/helps! Jescie and Sierra bcf 6-13-05 > > Hi All, > > -J'nee graduated to her DBB yesterday. Guest guest
Hi, , I've appended a response Kori sent to me when I asked the same question regarding nursing in the side lying position with the FAB. Hope it helps! Kim Lily, 3/28/05, P/M FAB, 16 hours >Hi and congrats to Lily for her straight feet! But, there is some bruising near her ankles from the casting I assume. Could this cause discomfort? Because the bruising looks like it spreads near the area that the strap goes over. And, how will the bruise have a chance to heal if the strap is aggrevating it? For the first few hours she was OK...as in consolable. But, at night, she awoke every hour. Oh, and one last question. I read the Tips document and have a question about the side lie and nursing tip. Can anyone describe how this works, i.e. positioning for me and baby? Thanks, (very sleep-deprived) and -J'nee, bcf, 01.07.
