Guest guest
My 6 month old is about to graduate from his DOC band (7 weeks). His cephalic index will have gone down from 96% to about 87%. A second band is not being recommended but I'm not thrilled about his head shape yet. I am seriously considering having him start to sleep on his stomach (so that he has to lie on the sides of his head) in order to prevent his flat head from coming back. I am going to get a breathing monitor like Snuza or Respisense (see links below) to ensure that he is always breathing. He is too big and mobile to secure into a side sleeping position. www.snuza.com www.respisense.com Has anyone used either of these monitors? Today was the first time I learned about them. They clip onto the diaper at the front or side and then monitor the movements of the stomach (which signify breathing). If I knew about these I would have put him in a side sleep position with the air flow sleeper and a monitor when he was 2 months old and then I probably would have not needed a helmet at all. Any feedback or thoughts about positioning for brachycephaly for a 6 month old would be appreciated. Thanks!
Guest guest
We have Sophie sleep on her belly and have for 4 months now. We use the angelcare monitor and it works really well.Sent from my iPhoneOn Mar 21, 2010, at 12:21 PM, "csmil1" <c314smiley@...> wrote: My 6 month old is about to graduate from his DOC band (7 weeks).
