Guest guest
We have a few numbers on our bill. If your last name ends in A-K call . If it ends in L-Z call . These numbers are for billing questions. Someone may have other numbers that would be more helpful, but I thought I would give you some place to start. 11/19/04 wrote: Hello, I have not posted to the group before but I see from my " lurking " that many of you have gone to Univ of Iowa directly to Dr. Ponseti for your children's treatment. We are hoping to do that in the next month or so and I'm trying to figure out the insurance logistics. We'll do what we have to do, but hope to have some of it covered by insurance. Since we're coming from out of state, it will all be " outof network " Do any of you have experience with the billing side of getting treatment at U of Iowa? Who do you contact over there? Guest guest
, Not sure if this was the info that you were looking for, but after we made our appt., the U of I business office called and got all of our insurance info on the phone. They do this so that you aren't bogged down with tons of paperwork when you get there. I had called their office a few days before to make sure that they even accepted my insurance company (out of network) and they had no idea. It actually made me more confused after I called them. The best source of insurance info was from this board...I did a post with my insurance company's name as the subject. I got lots of great responses (Thanks, Faith and Jenn!), and was a little less nervous of there being a snafu once we got to Iowa. Once we were there, I asked at the U of I business office if I needed to pay my deductible before we left. They said that they would just bill us. Dd's last appointment was mid January, and the bills have just started coming. They are all pretty standard. Anyway, all insurance companies are different, so definately post something here about your specific company...But, as for as The University of Iowa goes, they file everything for you. You don't have to worry about anything! Good luck! > > Hello, > I have not posted to the group before but I see from my " lurking " that many > of you have gone to Univ of Iowa directly to Dr. Ponseti for your children's > treatment. Guest guest
I don't know where you coming from but if you go to a shriner's hospital you could get all the hospital paid and most of your stay or all of it paid for like we did. We are going to St. Louis on Sunday for a appointment on Monday with Dr. Dobbs. We live in Oklahoma. Have any question you can email me at bltarver@....
