Guest guest
Hi there, Steve! Regarding this: > I cannot recall exactly, but at least a few weeks. The stomach is > sore. The vagus nerve in the stomach is sore and vengeful. The > intestines are sore. Your belly is sore. They ALL take weeks to > heal. Thanks again for your reassurance. You're a good man! > Not sure of the question; is is just that you think yourself a poor > [body] listener? I'll give you odds that post-op, once you **can** Yes, I do think that, but my question was more general. Sorry I didn't make myself clear. I do get tangled up in my own postings! Here's the question: Do you think that people who are/have been fat (I use this term very generically; could just be overweight; could mean MO) are lacking some kind of inner sense of their own bodies? Examples would include: --not having a clear mental picture of oneself (surprised at photos which show how much weight one has gained, i.e. feeling much thinner than one really is) --thinking/wondering/worrying about food too much --not being able to say " I've had enough garbage for today, so I'm gonna skip that special dessert tonight. " --not being able to skip those last couple bites of your favorite food --being less than physically ept, uncoordinated, not AWARE of what your body's potentials and limitations are Is this clear? I am obviously thinking while typing, an activity which should be illegal for me personally! These examples are not well-chosen or properly worded, but do ya get the gist? Guess I should have ordered my thoughts better before posting. I DID plan on bringing this up later with everyone, but then my own question about belly movements got me thinking, and it snowballed from there. So what else is new?
