Hi All,

It's been awhile since I've posted so first I'll recap: Mollie is 11

months old and is doing great. She switches back and forth between

the Dobbs brace and Markells on the red adjustable bar. She wears it

16 hours a day. I like to put it on by 8:00 pm, then in the morning

she usually gets an hour break, then I put it back on for her

remaining time. We go back to St Louis in two weeks to see Dr

Dobbs. She is pulling up and standing very well and has been for

awhile and this week she has started cruising some. I am hoping that

she will get to go down to 12 hours, but my question/problem is what

about naptime? I know it's " nights and naps " and I am very strict

about her shoe hours, but Mollie is not a very good napper. She gets

very sleepy and needs a nap but somtimes just laying down with her

while she nurses and rests is good enough for her and then she's back

up at at em! Sometimes I can get the shoes on her while she's asleep

without waking her and sometimes I can't. If she wakes up while I'm

doing it then she is crabby for a long time before she finally

crashes. I hate to cheat and leave them off, but sometimes she needs

a nap so bad (or maybe I need her to nap so bad lol!) that I'll give

her 30 min before I try to put them on in case she does wake up.

Well, that was quite a ramble just to ask what do you do about naps,

shoes or no shoes?

Thanks,

Marci & Mollie 5-25-05
