Guest guest
It will be fine to wait, . Don't get me wrong...You can give her some before hand if you feel more comfortable, but other that them being mad that it happened, they get over it pretty quickly. I remember buying an extra bottle to have on hand, but only needed to give it to her once that night. I think that was for my peace of mind, not her comfort. > >Reply-To: nosurgery4clubfoot >To: nosurgery4clubfoot >Subject: Tylenol for tenotomy? >Date: Tue, 14 Mar 2006 04:13:22 -0000 > >Hi all, > >We're getting the tenotomy this Friday. Guest guest
When Aleksander had his tenotomy, we didn't know that visit was going to entail the tenotomy. We knew it was coming, but thought we had one more week of casts. So, we didn't give him anything prior to the visit. In fact, I think we maybe gave him tylenol once that evening to help him sleep more comfortably that night, and I held him as much as he'd let me the next day. He did very well. That said, this is a boy who doesn't really even cry much when he's sick. He whines, but doesn't cry. We think he probably has a high pain threshold or something. > > Hi all, > > We're getting the tenotomy this Friday. Guest guest
Hi , Our daughter has had 2 tenotomy's and for both of them was uncomfortable throughout the night (wake every 1-2 hours or so) - we gave her tylenol every 4 hours to help, by noon the next day she was fine. Hope all goes well, Jescie > > Hi all, > > We're getting the tenotomy this Friday. The doctor said that the > procedure doesn't usually cause any additional discomfort. What are > your thoughts? Guest guest
I gave my son Tylenol about an hour before the procedure. It helped me feel better that I was doing something to make sure he was comfortable. He cried very little during the procedure (I think it was more from him being on his tummy - he hates being on his tummy). I like to think the Tylenol may have taken the " edge " off any discomfort after the procedure. jennylare2004 wrote: Hi all, We're getting the tenotomy this Friday.
