Yesterday Dr. Spigland ( the surgeon in NY ) called me. She stated that her

and Madison's GI doc at St. 's here in Philly have come to a

decision about maddy's surgery.

( Dr. Chen the GI doc used to work with Dr. H in NY )

They want Madison to have her surgeries here in Philly. They both agree that

the J tube placement shouldn't be a problem however the Nissan repair will.

Dr. Spigland says that it's much harder to repair a broken Nissan than to

place a new one. Madison has alot of scar tissue which will make it very

difficult to repair. She said the procedure will be very stressful for Madison

and to

expect a long lengthy hospital stay.

They plan on doing the J-tube first and than giving maddy some time and if

they J tube is a success than they may not need to do the Nissan. The reason

they want her here in Philly is because they expect a few problems to accur

and want her to be close to her GI and Endo docs.

We have made an appointment with the surgeon for Oct. 20th,

BUT...................

Noone has discussed this with Dr. H yet!!! So I am going to send her an

email and see what she thinks I wish I wasn't the one that had to tell her

this

those of you who know Dr. H know what I mean LOL.
