Guest guest
We have been GFCF for about 1 1/2 months. Ross, like most of your children, was a picky eater. Then, when we went GFCF it was worse. I can now say he will try anything, and I owe it all to one mother on this list w/the 2 bite rule. It is called tough love. Ross would push the new food away, he would turn his head. I asked the same question, how do I get Ross to eat? The mother told me that she would force feed her son, and I thought oh, I can't do that. Well, my husband held Ross's hands and I held his head and put food in his mouth as he screamed. He didn't gag, he didn't choke, he swallowed it and ate more. We would say take a bite of this and then you can have pudding (or whatever he likes). We would have to feed him the food. Then, all of a sudden he started eating it himself. He still has to be fed the new foods, but after that he will eat them himself. It was hard on all of us, but now he is asking for hotdogs and eating 2 at a sitting. He hadn't had a hot dog for 2 1/2 years! Try it, it works! Good Luck!
