Guest guest
Ohmygosh, I wish I could remember everyone who posted with such great advice. I do remember several names (Theresa, Lisbeth, Anita) but know I'm forgetting other wonderful people who wrote to help me and my feet. I slathered (is that a word, LOL?) a ton of vaseline on both heels and now my feet are no longer throbbing. Jeez, it was like a raging toothache in my feet - yuck! What a relief - thank you! I will pick up the bag balm tomorrow - great idea! I will also call my PCP and get the referral to the podiatrist. Heck, I'm so mad at Pacific(screw you!)Care for not approving my surgery that I don't mind costing them extra money right now! I was using a callous carver thing - what a great invention! However, I haven't been able to use it lately because my hands aren't trustworthy right now - they're kinda weak due to the carpal. So I guess the podiatrist will have alot of callous to carve off. Something happened today that I'm so sad about. The feet problems were icing on the cake so to speak. I bought myself a Christmas gift - a 27inch TV. It arrived today and I asked my neighbor to install it. I have a digital cable box, VCR and DVD player. I've never been able to use my DVD player because my old TV didn't have the holes in it to install a DVD. So I was really excited. Well, my neighbor hooked everything up but the digital cable didn't work. He left the TV on the floor in front of my entertainment center because he had to leave and another friend was coming over to plug in the digital cable box. I ended up calling the cable company and the guy on the phone told me what to plug in. It was really simple! Yippeeeeee! The DVD still didn't work but now I had the VCR and Digital Cable working. When my first neighbor came home, I told him and asked him to lift my TV and put it in my entertainment center. When he did it, the cable wire from the cable box to the TV got caught on something and when he continued lifting, the wire and the metal piece in my TV were yanked out of the TV. The upshot was that if he tried to screw it back in, it was loose because the metal piece had been stripped from the TV and all I got was fuzzy snow. So, he scotch taped the cable wire to my TV. The TV is still on the floor and the cable will come loose if there's too much vibration on the floor. My brand new TV!!! Tomorrow I have to call the TV repair guy and pay for a house call and repair job. I just know the part will cost less than a dollar but, with labor, it'll be over $100. My neighbor offered to pay but he can't even afford to have cable, much less pay for my TV. Wahhhhhhhhh....... OK, now that my hands are REALLY dead now, I'll end this. Thanks for letting me vent! dee __________________________________________________
