Guest guest Posted December 3, 2001 Report Share Posted December 3, 2001 About four weeks ago I wrote that I was not losing weight as fast as my doc wanted me to and asked for advice. Boy did I receive advice from this group. I took all the advice to heart and started eating more protein, more fat and even more protein. I am happy to report that in the last 4 weeks I have lost 15 pounds. I didn't climb on the scales and decided not to worry about it all. The middle of November I joined Curves gym and have been going semi-religously. Today they took my measurements and weighed me. I now weigh 249 (under 250 finally and down from a 304 start weight) and in the 2 weeks that I have been going to the gym I have also lost 7 inches. So I feel pretty good and wanted to share with all of you. Thanks for the support and encourgement along the way. I will continue to eat lots of protein and fats. A MO lady in my church last night was feeling sorry for me because we had a get together to decorate and all I was eating was cheese (and avoiding the cookies). Then when I told her what my " regular " diet was like she decided that she no longer had to feel sorry for me. Maybe one day she will consider this life saving surgery.
