Guest guest
OK, I already KNOW I have a hernia from my lap gall bladder removal a few years back. It's " huge " according to Dr. Anthone. What I am wondering is, when you have a huge hernia in the upper stomach region, quite the same as where you would get an umbilical hernia I suppose, does it have any effect on the muscle function? Lemme clarify a bit - since my hernia has really kicked in (could be coincidence, I dunno) I can hardly use my stomach muscle for lifting or bending down without getting a major muscle spasm - it hurts like h*ll! All of this talk about " toileting hygiene " has reminded me that I also have major muscle spasms if I ever " approach from the front " as it has been described. Is this related to the hernia or do I just have another problem to add to the list?? Has anyone else experienced this spasm thing and does it go away after hernia repair/DS (mine will be simultaneous)?
