Guest guest
Hello, My name is and my 10 month old, , has had her Starband for almost 10 weeks. She had her six week follow up scan almost a month ago and they were very happy with her progress. Some thought I was crazy and couldn't see how flat the right side of her head was. But my son, who has a lot of other health issues, has a very flat head from being in the hospital on his back so much, that I noticed 's right away. Her right side of her forehead " bulged " a bit and her ears were/are off center. We have noticed a little more rounding in the back, her forehead looks much better, and her ears are becoming more aligned (although they are still off). Everything has appeared to be going well and we were so excited to be about half way through the projected 3/4 month time period! Then, last night, after her bath, I noticed that her right cheek looks flatter then the left side, which is rounding. This is new. She has always been super skinny and now, she must be going through a growth spurt, and her face is starting to round out and fill in. It may have been there for a while and I am just noticing it now. They have smoothed down the part of the band that is in contact with that cheek, so maybe the tech noticed something before and didn't say anything. But now it is very noticible. I feel like the way the band lays on the right side is pressing in, even though it has been shaved down some. I put her back in her band after her hour off last night. Late this morning, I took her helmet off for a second to get her dressed. I noticed it again. I just do't know what to do. Of course, this happens on Friday night/Saturday when I can't get ahold of anyone at the office. I don't want to leave her out of the helmet all weekend until I get a hold of someone on Monday but I also don't want to make this worse. She has her follow up appointment on Tuesday, but I am going to try to get in on Monday. Any suggestions? Could the band be making things (not the rounding in the back and not the forehead, but her cheek) worse? Thank you so much!
