Could someone please suggest a site where I could get a list of other names

for corn? We are eliminating corn for two weeks per our nutritionist's

suggestion and I know it's hidden. I can't handle another list (nor can my

marriage-my husband is a gfcfkids widow!) but the list would be helpful.

Also, can anyone recommend any of the Mis Roben's corn free products? I'll

rely on them for the interim and cross my fingers! (that my kids aren't

sensitive). Is featherweight baking powder corn free? And what is a good

alternative to energ egg replacer? I think that has corn too. More

questions than I realized. Thanks a huge amount in advance. Helene

Helene

We went corn free for 10 mos. Boy, that was hard. Turns out, Jeff is NOW

OK w/ corn 1-2 times a week (yea! MORE OPTIONS IS A GOOD THING.)

Here is a great web site on avoiding corn:

http://www.vishniac.com/ephraim/index.html

To answer your other questions:

1) Featherweight Baking Powder is CORN FREE

2) Miss Robens Corn free products are really good. I have tried almost all

the corn free items. My personal opinion is the mixes have too much sugar

so I would rather bake from scratch to minimize the amount of sugar. But if

sugar is not a problem for your child the mixes and products are a gift and

are very, very good!

3) For egg replacer I use: 1 tsp. arrowroot powder and 1/2 tsp water for

every egg called for in a baking recipe. IT WORKS PERFECTLY!!!!

Take care

a Jeffs mom
