Just need to share sadness

This isn't RSS; but it is late and we have been crying so much. I

have so much to do to get ready for the convention. But sadly, we

found out tonight that our friends, the dad and son Connor,

were visiting a local family that moved to Costa Rica one year ago.

Cindy and her sons and Jack picked up and Connor from

the airport this morning!!! They boarded a small seaplane piloted by

another friend to fly back to Flamingo where Cindy and her husband

had bought a bed and breakfast one year ago and were renovating it.

The plane crashed and all 6 were killed.

and Connor leave behind wife Lori and sisters Hailey and

Maggie. and Hailey have been in class together, have been

in Indian Princesses together with the two dads for 3 years, and

Brownies for 3 years. Tyler and Connor class for 2 years, Indian

Guides, etc. Dads are friends. We're all neighbors. And they are

gone, bam. And Don Ruetz -- the husband of Cindy and dad of

and Jack. He is all alone! I can't begin to fathom what they are

all going through. And somehow I have to keep going and get ready

for the convention (and clearly, miss the funerals).

Initial news reports indicate that the pilot was the son of a famous

sports owner and nephew of the owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers or

something like that. I can't even recall right now. So I am sure

that this will get a lot of news coverage due to whom the pilot is --

although 3 little boys who were just 8 and 9 years old are gone!

Anyway, I am sorry but it is so late and I just needed to vent.

Please keep Don, Lori, Hailey and Maggie in your prayers.
