Guest guest
My son still has not been formally diagnosed, but we've moved and have been having much more luck in the medical community all around so I am hoping to get some answers soon. But I have this question that keeps nagging at me and I hope someone might have some info as I haven't been able to find much about it online. Mercury- if this rise in cases on the autistic spectrum has been even informally linked to vaccines, specifically to the mercury in them, how about detoxification? I read somewhere (forget where now though) that it can be done, but it's a lengthy procedure... but I can't find how to do it, or who would do it. Or if it is even something that would work. It seems kind of logical, if the spectrum disorder is a direct or indirect result of the mercury that was put into their bodies from the vaccines, how about taking it out and letting their bodies heal? I read so much about all these medicines and suppliments and vitamins that are being suggested/ perscribed, but they haven't been for Dylan. He has been dx'd with a severe expressive speech delay (16 month delay), a moderate to severe gross motor delay (9 month delay), mild comprehension delay (3-4 month delay), sensory issues, and fine motor is almost right on (1 month delay which can be attributed to his premature birth). He also has severe food allergies, and since removal of newly tested allergens has a vocabulary of approx 10 words. Most only I can understand. And other unrelated ?s would be in the speech department- as he has picked up some vocabulary he has been identifying animals by their sounds. (Ex: instead of saying cow he calls it a 'moo'.) He does this for cow, pig and just today did sheep and chick. Also the words he is saying, like " more " is mo, all of them leave off the last half of the word. He's had them now with some off and on regression due to the move for almost a month now, without further development of the word. Is this a normal form of development? He is still not yet in any therapy. Thanks for all your help. Melisa
