Ian Vomiting

Hey all - Ian has some kind of virus. Normally in this family - we

vomit at night time! Never had a day vomiter before. So......thus

my reason for this silly question. I know this has been discussed

many many times - but, I'd love a reminder. Ian has not eaten for

12 hours. He had 6 oz of his supplement this morning - and has

vomited 3 times - so, I'd say he's probably kept 2 or 3 oz down.

(I've been told by nurses in the past that they usually keep more

down than " it looks like " ). Anyway, I've also been told by MDs and

nurses that you have to wait at least an hour from the last time

they vomited before you can offer something to them to drink. So we

are going to watch Pooh's Heffalump movie hopefully without any

incident. My question is how long do you think I should go with him

before I call his Pediatrician to get him in for an IV at the

hospital. Again, he normally vomits at night which has allowed him

to eat all day and then by morning he's fine - so, it's not usually

an issues. Oh - by the way - I don't have an accu check to check

his blood sugars - but, he's normally great in the that area.

Sorry again for the repetitive question - but, would love the help.

Thanks.

- H
