Hi,

My daughter Sofia is 24 months old, she still has the DBBs at night.

She's been sleeping naps in a big bed (with no DBBs) and seems

interested in sleeping in a big bed at night.

I would like any feedback on how kids do with the DBBs when sleeping

on a big kids bed.

Thank you

Kelsey (2 1/2) does not do it on a regular basis here but when she stays at my

mother in laws she sleeps in a double bed with her sister and does just fine.

We are in the process of getting her a twin bed for here. She sleeps in a

toddler bed right now.

I just started putting my son in a twin size bed. I didn't think a toddler

bed would be an option because it seems that he could easily fall out. Even

though the toddler bed low to the ground I would rather that not happen. So

far so good...no problems.

I to was wondering this same thing. What age anyone went to toddler

bed or twin size bed. Karter is 19 months old and still in a crib.

I don't think he would go to sleep if he knows he can get out. But

our problem is he is wakeing up 6-10 times a night because he can

not roll over. The DBB seems to be wide and he will get stuck. I

will go in lay him down comfortably and he goes right back to

sleep. I know he is not up all night, but I have a hard time

getting back to sleep, so when I get back to sleep he is up once

again. My husband seems to think he only does it to make sure mommy

is still there and if I let him cry he will go back to sleep. He

has actually got the shoes stuck in the bars of the crib. Haven't

done that since we got the 's, but the shoes seem to be

bigger than the markells.

Any thoughts?

We've never had the problem of her feet getting stuck. But we put

these " socks " on her feet. It started because it was winter and I

thought her feet needed a little bit more cover. I created these

socks that you slip over the toe, but, they have a ribbon so that

you can tie them behind the ankle so that they don't slip off. We

then discovered that this prevented scratches on the wood of the

crib, and for the warm weather, I devised a thinner. I also have the

metal brace covered.....so, when Sofia sleeps, no metal is ever

exposed. I don't know if the fact that her whole shoe is covered

with material, that it prevents her shoe from getting stuck between

the slats of the crib.

About the waking up...well, it's hard, but, if you can ignore it a

few nights in a row.... might just figure out that he can

sleep thru the night....

I had to do that with my first child....it was very hard, but, after

the 3rd day....he just cried for less than a minute before he was

asleep again.

Good luck
