Guest guest
Hi all, I have a concern about my daughter's Markell's. She is in a size 2 and although her toes have not gone past the end, her foot is actually wider than the narrowest spot on the shoe. Is this common and I am just now noticing it, or is it a problem? She has an appointment on Friday to potentially get new shoes, but I noticed on the Markell site that they don't make wides in the bigger sizes, and I'm pretty sure my daughter could benefit from a wide. When I think back, her shoes have always been way too long when she first gets them, but they fit fine widthwise. I am a little confused because clubfeet are wider than " normal " feet, yet the shoes aren't. And these shoes are made for clubfeet. I sent an email to the Markell site but received no response. I am still wrestling with the idea of trying to get 's, but I don't know how to deal with insurance, and I cannot purchase them up front even if I would get reimbursed, so I feel stuck. And then I read about problems folks have with the 's, so it seems like there will be issues no matter what shoe you use. Are the 's typically wider than the Markell's? I would really appreciate any input about this so that I can go to the ortho fitter prepared. Thanks!! Donna
