Amy and Steve are switched!

I got to visit Amy and Steve today, and I wanted to let you guys know that

they're doing fine! They wish they'd gotten the license plate number of

that truck that hit them, though.

I went up to Amy's room first -- she *just* got a room at 6:40pm, and not a

private room, either...a bummer, but nothing too major. Surgery went as

expected (we think...not entirely sure since Jossart didn't talk to Amy's

brother Ted post-op), and although she was in a lot of pain, Amy was such a

trooper!! With Ted and I pestering her half to death, she got up and

walked, just 4 hours post-op!! )

After bothering Amy, Ted and I went downstairs to ICU to check on Steve, who

was there with his lovely wife. His surgery also seemed to have gone

well -- ICU was because of Steve's severe apnea and no other reason. Steve

was in great spirits!

I'm so proud of you both, and I can't wait to trade places in 2 weeks. )
