Day spent in ER with high BS

Hey,

It's been awhile since I have posted but I have been reading. Our

morning started out normal. But Tori aske to be vented after

breakfast of 8 oz peptim Jr. bolused. Plus she ate leftover topping

off pizza. She asked for a second venting and then said she was

sleepy and shut her eyes and walked to my bed and fell asleep for

like ten minutes.

I was thinking this wasn't right. Called the Ped. Went to the

neighbor and got his blood sugar tester. Peds called back while I

was gone. Tested sugar it was 381. This is the first time I tested

it but knew it was high. Called the ped. They said to call endo,

endo said we aren't treating her for diabetic reasons we are

treating for RSS/SGA go to ER. Isn't this blood sugar stuff part of

RSS/SGA??? That is what I have been reading and my understanding.

Mom's know best I guess.

One dr asks three times if we see an endo. I say the same thing.

Yes we have an appt on the 10th of Nov with Dr Blah Blah Blah. Oh I

didn't see anything in the computer. I gave the date when we last

saw him. The day I was discharged from having my baby c-section. LOL

Go to ER they do an EKG, blood work Sugars are now 90, urine-there

is glucose in the urine, and xrays of the stomach. All done by

12:30. Now get her to drink something and you can go home. Nobody

comes in with a cup. So I bolus 4 oz of peptim Jr and 2 oz of

water. The nurse asks if she drank anything. I said she was

bolused. She said that isn't what the dr. ordered. I said she

tollerated the feed and had a loose stool. Ok you will be

discharged soon.

3:00 still no report but you will be discharged soon. Three disney

movies later. No food for myself or Tori other than what I

bolused. I did give her another 4 oz. Baby is crawling and walking

all over. Tori is asking when are we going home. Husband shows up

for the second time from work and now is done working and takes the

baby.

3:30 now we are discharged. Diagnoise Stomach bug, fainting,

follow up with ped this week return if reoccures or gets worse.

Was everything done right or was I missing any things? I did have

the Magic hand outs with me for SGA and RSS.
