diff. in braces?

I have a quick question-I was wondering what the

advantages/disadvantages are between the brace and our Dobbs

brace(3 velcro straps with the sort of plastic inner bootie)-well, not

the advantages/disadvantages b/w the two braces themselves, but

wondering why our Dobbs brace comes up so much higher on the calf(about

mid-calf), and when I see pix of the brace it just seems as if

it's around the ankle, or just slightly above it.
