Guest guest
Lily has been in the s almost two months and has a slight crease on her left foot. This is her more resistant, more severe foot. I can't remember if there was a crease following casting or not. Is this crease ok or a sign of relapse? We are due in to Dr. Ponseti 7/31, but I will try to get her in earlier if it might be a problem. I think she continues to have an extremely SLIGHT c-shape to her foot but so hard to tell because she is not walking yet. Please tell me what to look for re. the shape of her foot. At your convenience! I have been quite active here lately--sorry to monopolize- -when it rains, it pours! I don't know if there is cause for concern or if I am being paranoid. You can tell me if I am, that would be a relief actually. Thanks, friends. PS--thanks for the advice in contacting my previous practitioner, etv. It was extremely helpful (!) and I plan on writing them.
Guest guest
, If the crease was not there before and it is now there is a chance that there's a bit of relapse going on there - can you send pics to Dr. P to get his opinion before deciding to go back early? On the C shape it's the outside border of the foot that you want to look at, it should be straight. Take a look at this article, it demonstrates how to do the " V " -finger test to check this. http://www.aafp.org/afp/20040215/865.pdf Let me know if you can't get to the article for any reason and I can send it to you directly as an attachment.
