Guest guest
Darifree reconstituted according to the package (one envelope makes 2 quarts, etc) is usable one-for-one. But the pumpkin pie recipes I know, call for evaporated milk, which is milk with water removed to the point that it is twice as " milky " as milk. So that is why I use double-strength Darifree when making a pumpkin pie. Some other recipes call for " rich milk " or " non-dairy creamer " and those usually need something like double-strength DariFree, too. Some say " use a rich milk like soy or potato " and it can get confusing.... Lorilyn > I am a little confused. When I am converting a recipe to GFCF, and it > calls for milk, how much sub do I use? I assumed it was exactly the same, > but now I don't think so. I use Dari-free.
